I promise I really like this infrared, atomic filter.
Unh, Im a unicorn! Lol!
Last nights podcast was transformation'al. Ive heard of the dissent of Inanna in Matriarchal studies for years. It was a mythos, an archetype similar to the tales of Persephone. Last night we found out it was also a #truestory. Enheduanna was a Sumerian High Priestess that lived the rise and fall; the rape and the exaltation. Her story remains relative. Any women striving towards sovereignty knows all too well what happens when patriarchy pushes back. Wise women learn how to floww with men... as much as possible... and when its not possible, Woe! The more powerful and influential, the harder the blow. Just take a glance at politics... Whats rape? How is it defined? How is it punished? What about states proposing women pay an additional fee for rape insurance? Whats that? Or what about sexual harassment? Whats that? Sure, those arent all women. So lets discuss one that affects most:
This post isnt about that tho'. Enheduanna got me feeling like a feminist right nah. Lol. This post is actually about Yemanja. Last night while sitting on my stairs, enjoying a calming cup of tea while moon gazing (Witch!), my neighbor passed by smoking a cigar. Since he passed by me, I spoke and said "Hey." He didnt respond just kept walking. I noticed her was wearing red and black. I thought to myself, "Esu." Just then, a moth flew by me and danced in my view long enough for me to forget about my neighbor's lack of home training. I watched it flutter around then spiral up towards the lights. I thought to myself, "Obatala." Which was exactly what I needed... Ive been attempting to discern the energy of my current season. I kinda have a grasp on it but not quite. And my habits are far from the Puritan-like mandates of the crisp, disciplined Patriarchal Oba. Im a little to #Lit for him, frfr. Yeye however... Obatala's Lover... His trusted confidant... His companion... Sister to Earth and Moon... Thats all me!
Yall, Ive been reluctant to (read: running away from) standing in Yemoja’s energy cause it demands a higher level of responsibility and commitment; accountability- I wasnt ready. However, it is what it is. And as sure as my neighbor ushered Obatala in, Baba in turn opened the door for me and Mami to walk for a spell. And its cool, cause She likes to have a good time.
She's also the Matriarch, so Respect the Crown.
