Decided to join a professional Bloggers Group to help me figure out this Blogging World. It's amazing where being obedient to Spirit's directions and going with the flow with lead you. I've been blogging since undergrad, however it was simply a form to express myself- my online journal. I invited a few classmates to check it out and every Blue Moon I shared my posts on Social Media. I certainly wasn't seeking sponsors or marketing it to strangers. Actually, I ended up deleting it. Which in hindsight makes me sad, because I know I had some deeply introspective content on there that probably could'a been edited and fleshed out into a book. Oh well! "The Spirit of creativity is fertile."
A few years later, once I began teaching I began another blog. That one is still up: www.guidinggeniuses.blogspot.com. Be advised, those posts came from another side of heart. I debated with taking it down since it has potential to be polarizing. Im leaving it for now because the information shared are facts- hard facts, granted. And where my opinions kicked-in, I said so. If you do check that one out, please come back and tell me your thoughts and solutions. There's room for us all here at Circle Sisters 13. Post below in the comments.
So, back to HAAB. Hmmmm, I think I learned of them via a FB Group search. Something like: "Houston Bloggers." I joined a few from those listed, however this one appeared more engaging. Plus, they were advertising a Blogging Conference in August 2017. So, I asked to join and they sent their requirements. I took me about 3 weeks to take the leap (introvert that I am) and here we are. An active member and on my way to slaying the Blogging world!
About that Conference, Im registered and excited about the information and networking potentials: houstonafricanamericanbloggers.com.
