This Wednesday past I was given the opportunity to TAKEOVER Houston African-American Blogger's IG. I had much fun! I was able to post for #HAAB2017 and I was also able to expand my own brand. Sharing means caring. To see it all, go to @HTXAABloggers.
"This is typically the time I #blog. During the day, I'm a Superhero. By night, I'm Keshia Shantae, The Artist. I create. I write. Using words and images I make the world more connected. I'm a blogger.
I wrote a #book of #poems. Self-Published it even. It's not the same as #blogging. I cannot add chapters to my book, nor can I show my growth past the last page (unless I change editions). Blogging allows for this; for change. If you look at the very first post written on my blog and compare it to yesterday's post, you will see how my 'voice', or my writing style is growing. I'm improving in communicating my points. I'm considering the audience and how the words will 'sound' when read. And more importantly, I'm improving in my ability to share my experiences, lifestyle, culture and values with the #world. These are the focal points @CircleSisters13. The blog highlights #Sisters and their creations, be it Tantric Yoga poses or elementary Robotics, baking pies or organizing city-wide pajama parties... #ImhereForIt. I'm rising to the occasion and pushing past my excuses.
I'm in great company too. Houstonafricanamericanbloggers.com #issa #tribe. I would like to think we all are striving to be more #transparent and #authentic and #organic in our expressions. Perhaps they aren't as #emo as me.... I'mma #Poet, ya'know...they are however committed to connecting the world. Sharing themselves and their specializations. Lol, we #Lit over here.....
