(originally written in september '17... spent a month in editing.)
yesterday, during my afternoon commute the lyrics to a very popular song popped into my head. "i let him do whatever he want, he buys me yves saint laurent"..something like that.. anyways, so that got me to thinking about the fashion houses. if i recall there are 10 major houses that prolly been around since the medici. somebody fact check me... so i was thinking about how those houses set the standards of western beauty, which are by design intentionally exclusive. this post isn't to shake my head about lack of inclusion, that would be a waste of my time. gucci, fendi, prada, versace, burberry, chanel, dior, givency, saint laurent, hermes, and armani have been, are presently and will be the apex of the western fashion world because poor and rich worship them as gods...
and to be fair, they are gods.
not my gods tho.
there's something to say for craftsmanship. putting hype aside, high-fashion demands a high-quality product. all new designers seeking to establish themselves, succeed in the fashion industry and last hundreds of years like those brands mentioned above must also create aesthetic, high-quality garments. and y'all, this is exactly what i witnessed at the finale fashion show for AFW. i was there both as a blogger, and as an appreciator of beautiful, skillfully created clothing. i already knew i was gonna see some gorgeous threads and "Yasssssssssssss!" i got exactly what i wanted!
quiet as kept, Africa has been setting fashion trends since before fashion trends were a thing. our colors, patterns, designs, cuts, materials.. everything that could duplicated, has been duplicated. and still we rise... and still we create the next wave. this is how i knew this show would be worth attending. the chances of the designs being subpar were slim because africa is fashion and style and beauty. and this is exactly what was served! no wonder stella m. 'mainstreamed' ankara for paris fashion week. she prolly had her people at one of the AFWs and saw the future: africa! lol. can't be too madd about it.
embrace the future y'all.

Epic. this picture is my entire smood right now. life is challenging enough without this whole turn the other cheek nonsense. how long that last? look. I'm all on social media talking bout "fuck my baby daddy." and that aint me at all. but this ninja...
and the feminist are reclaiming their time with the #MeToo. bruh, it dont look good 4 #fuckboyz. and whoever feels some typa way is 1)a fuck boy 2)a fuck boy enabler. das it.
i wont go inn on how ninjas is failing to hold other ninjas accountable for their trespasses against the family... how we gone rise yall? as if the archangel Micheal and his brother, archangel Rapheal finna flydown and slay all those guilty in the Spirit.... say whet?
yes, I'm emotional.
Yiiiiiiiiiiiieeeee!!!! this is why i been on that #poinsettesandbabymamas. I hate being a baby mama, I aint even gone lie. This world is anti-women, so being out from under the protection of fathers, grandfathers and uncles is a major compromise... people act like research hasn't already proven that 2-parent homes fare better than single-parents homes... for a plethora of reasons... including economics.. Unless Mamas are our own #Boss (however you see it), successful in corporate america or upper-management, or married to an income-earning man (atleast cost-of-living); then its that much more challenging when financing family plans (home economics). i know. not to mention the equally important economics of time involvement.
with each additional growing person, thats even more not-so-funny economy. thank goddess for angels because the majority of people on this planet dont care about children starving, being homeless or having shoes... the united states don't care.. texas don't care.. houston doesn't care... the mutha fucking 'conscious community' dont care... ((well to be fair, plenty people care. I know many. I'm eternally thankful for those that have and do. This blog is 4 us.)) || This specific post is just an online journal release and a polight "Fuck You!" for everyone insisting upon being hateful & spiteful because I know. We deserve better.
"..aint like I need it...
its 4 Baby.
aint like Baby need it either tho.
its really the principal.
aint Jesus here."
anywayz. i will prolly delete those fb posts just cause its anti-social media etiquette... posting private business is so uncouth.. i hate when people do that stupid shit. stfu already.
then again, i be like, "daaaamn, what he did or didn't do 2 Her?"
to reinstate: fuck 'em. by even referring to him and his peoples I'm giving 2 much.
Feels like our Birthday! Happy Friday the 13th!! In a future blog I will go into details about the significance of #13. For now lets agree on the facts that alongside '666', the number '13' is the most misunderstood and most demonized number. Why? Simply, its a veil... Whats the 13th letter? Whats the significance of the 13th letter? Lets start there.
