Tuesday Message for Circle Sisters Podcast, because Tuesdays are for Strategy:
The current situation of Justice called on several charismatic orators in the Conscious community is a great case study as to why 'doing the Knowledge (1)' is always first before committing to an action. The micro-Underground Conscious Community continues to save lives because the oft hidden, applicable information is the brain power of the macro-Conscious Community. The countless hours of Youtube Videos are a prime example. Everything from Black Origins to Black Futurism can be explored, thanks to teachers, Artists, students and conspiracy theorists. Black folks of all ages have access to varied data and opinions by a plethora of personalities. It's a starting place for many on their quests for Knowledge of SELF.
Unfortunately, too many are neglecting to KTL- Know The Ledge. We use this term as a warning to 'Do the Knowledge' to a situation (or in this case to people) or risk 'falling off the ledge'. It is our understanding, at Buffalo&Bayou that our common religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism) have conditioned us to cling to Savior Archetypes. This is not by coincidence and instead, is strategically intentional- from the preachers to the politicians to Jesus hisself, we cling to leaders for salvation. This thought pattern has traveled to the Underground University as we are seeking teachers and lecturers to 'Save Us.' The hook is, most of those teachers and lectures are ex-cons and hustlers.
Please believe we are not casting judgement on the past actions of folks. Rather, using it to make a point. The information has always come from the streets, and who runs the streets? Crooks. *There's that Ledge.* So, many of the ones with the gift of gab, specialized knowledge from the Master Teachers and finesse of persuasion are the same ones that used those very tools for survival on the corner and in the penitentiary- or to avoid the penitentiary. They were wolves in their natural environment. They are still wolves. Do the Knowledge.
One such wolf is one of my best teachers. He has always made it a point to stress that he is not a nice person. And he is not. He is rough like broken concrete. And yet, Ive learned about entire worlds through him. His information and grasp on his subject matter is Master level. At no time however do I forget he is a wolf... And the moment I bow to him as a sheep, he will bleed my bank account. That's fucked up right? Yeah, it is. However, its the nature of the Underground. I prefer my wolves without sheepskin. Unfortunately, too many of the teachers on the circuit now are shape-shifters. And people are falling prey in droves. 'Do the knowledge' and proceed in wisdom. Research both the message and as needed, the messenger.
Am I a hustler too? Lol, Y.E.S. Beloved! I'm also a daughter of Mamma. And as her daughter, it's in my heart to help my Sisters. I know women who've ran away from cults, women that have spent thousands to correct their children's status, and women that have gone to jail in the name of liberation. They fell off the Ledge. Beware of slick talk. I personally love it... that Cloth talk, lol. That King lingo... In the proper context it's GOLDEN! Out of context, might get cha head chopped off.. Always! Do the Knowledge Sisters.

Memorial Day was started by former slaves on May, 1, 1865 in Charleston, SC to honor 257 dead Union Soldiers who had been buried in a mass grave in a Confederate prison camp. They dug up the bodies and worked for 2 weeks to give them a proper burial as gratitude for fighting for their freedom. They then held a parade of 10,000 people led by 2,800 Black children where they marched, sang and celebrated.
So for the men and women who died for a country that still fails to recognize you as men and women that died for this country, thank you. #americanhistory #happymemorialday
I don't recall the details of Memorial Day, I believe it began in memory of Pearl Harbor. Pardon my ignorance. I do know it is a day to honor soldiers and warriors and supporting persons in the military. Of course we honor their lives, their sacrifice for their families. For this country even- as complicated as the motives for wars the US wages. Buffalo & Bayou Apothos honors the life of those brave and loyal warriors.
Today we call upon our Warriors who never die. Protect our energy and thoughts from passivity, protect us from energetic vampirism and thieves; starve our enemies. Today we call on our Warriors to bind all merciless murderers, rapists, colonizers and thieves. Confound those restless and bloodthirsty Spirits. May our Ancestral warriors keep them at bay. Confuse and Constrict all things seen and unseen forming to take away from my/our persons and our kin.
