Never forget. Houston is one of the wealthiest cities. Not by accident or happenstance. Free(d) folk came here and built a sustainable town. So much so, the City Of Houston conspired to destroy it. Never Forget. 

It is our understanding that Black Folk can't begin reversing our curses until we first Honor the dead. Then we must Honor the living. By honoring the women and men of Freedman Town and telling the story of how they purchased and leased swamplands and built a self-sustaining township, is honoring the legacy and heritage of all our people. Y'all, I just learned there were hundreds of Black towns in Texas. Tejas. Hundreds y'all. Little to big enough. If we don't honor our people, we will continue to forget. Never Forget.
